The Romanesque from El Pallars is highly valued, unfortunately for this reason there are many masterwork pieces scattered all. As people become increasingly aware of its importance, little by little the hermitages have start being rebuilt and restored, the frescos painted up on the apses are minutely reproduced, and exact copies of the beautiful carved wooden sculptures are being ordered. Similarly, there are sanctuaries in every neck of the mountainside valleys, although not belonging to the Romanesque, having some reputation among the villagers, who congregate in the sacred palaces once a year in crowded gatherings.
